Kwikset smartkey is a good concept. User must be careful to insert the smart key tool in the correct orientation and push in all the way. Also, should turn the new key SLOWLY when re-keying. I believe I turned the new re-key too quickly and the cylinder tumblers did not align properly. I then ended up with a cylinder that neither key would fit.
